libutron: Cobweb Weaver Spintharus flavidus (Araneae - Theridiidae) is an American species of Cobweb Weaver distributed from eastern United States to Brazil. This spider spins a simple Y-shaped web on narrow branches and throws swathing silk with legs on arthropods that contact the sticky ends of the forks of the Y. Presumably, the branches to which the webs are attached provide relatively small set of paths for pedestrian-arthropod movement.
